Dry as a Bone

Hello, my name is Jason Grape.  I just picked up my 2012 Alpha 211 almost 2 months ago. Today I fished Lake Guntersville, there were thunderstorms and severe winds the later half of the day causing the lake to look like an ocean. I was very impressed with the performance of my Legend in the rough water. Had 2” of rain, and all my compartments were dry as a bone. I’ve owned many boats including Ranger, Skeeter, Stratos, and Blazer and never had actual dry storage.  My previous boat was a Ranger Z520. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone involved, for the quality workmanship of Legend Boats.

Sincerely,
Jason Grape

Something Magical…

Well, Cindy Van Horn first contacted me in the middle of December after I inquired about a catalog, good customer service to follow up after a request with a phone call. Fast forward to January and I was heading to the Birmingham boat show to meet up with Cindy and meet this boat I’ve heard so much about. Once I spotted the Alpha 211 for the first time in person, my jaw dropped! Cindy hadn’t lied to me, this truly was an amazing boat in person. After touring the boat and learning all its amazing features, the only thing I wanted to do was get this beast in the water. After great people and a little planning from Fredrick’s Marine in Decatur, AL, I was set up with a demo ride with BassMaster Elite Chris Lane on the famous Lake Guntersville today. Chris and I got in the boat with some chop on the water. This was good, I truly wanted to see what this boat could do and to see if it would crack under pressure. I was wrong, this boat truly amazed me in every aspect of handling, speed, and ride quality. Chris truly put this boat to the max and I was astonished in every part of it. I told Chris I grew up riding in Skeeters and that they had nothing on the 211…. Nothing.  Skeeter is not the only boat that can do the 360 degree turn, The Alpha 211 will! Next it was time to see how this boat fished. I was up front and Chris was in the back. We trolled effortlessly through two foot chop and stayed dry and comfortable with no loss of balance. Now it was my turn to get behind the wheel and drive! I was timid to really drive the boat at first, just because it was not mine but Chris ensured me that it was fine to put my foot into it and drive it like a race car! Before I knew it I was running 73+ down the lake, cutting it back and forth along with doing 180′s and working the hydraulic jackplate and trim like I owned the boat my self. There was something magical about this… nothing technical or mechanical, but just the way it rides and handles can not be put into words but something you just have to experience. It just felt good behind the wheel in this boat nothing like I’ve ever experienced in a Skeeter, it truly was a one of a kind. After my twenty minutes of fun we called it quits, Chris could tell i enjoyed myself as did he. We idled back to the marina and spoke on its quality and that feeling you get being in the drivers seat of a Legend. My experience with Legend boats has truly been a great one! The customer service is full of friendly willing to help people. The boat can not be described in this short testimony; it is something every angler should experience for them selves. They have done their part and a good job at it, so in conclusion i thank everyone at Legend Boats as well as everyone who helped make this truly great experience, one I will never forget. I only have one thing left, that is to make this dream a reality.

Sincerely,
Evan Reid, Birmingham, AL

Thanks!!!

I just received my second Legend Boat and couldn’t be happier. The quality and workmanship is unmatched. Everyone who looks at it notices the finish-out and attention to detail before I can say anything. To Randy, Dean, and all the staff at Legend Boats:  Thank You and don’t change anything!!!!!!!!  YOU ARE BUILDING THE BEST BOAT ON THE WATER.  I would also like to thank Billy Sartin at Sartin Marine for his time and professionalism getting me in and out, and back on the water.

Thanks Again,
Ride with a Legend

I Love Everything About It!!!!!!

Deana,
I have attached a picture of my boat for the boat of the month contest.  I came to the factory and picked out all the colors when they built this boat.  Also had the stripe duplicated and applied to the motor to give it a more custom look.  It came out Beautiful and really turns a lot of heads.

Never thought I would find a boat that rides better and takes rough water better that the Champions I have owned.  My Alpha 211 Beats the Champion hands down. I love everything about it!!!!!!

Thanks!!

Hello Deana,
My son and I are sending you some recent tournament pictures. We are very happy with the performance of the boat in all types of water. The boat handles rough water extremely well. Mike and I are proud to represent Legend Boats in a positive way.  The boat itself has received a tremendous amount of attention at all ramps and on the water. People are often asking questions regarding the boat and where the nearest dealer is.  Michael and I appreciate everything that Legend Boats has done for us. I hope everyone has a good holiday season and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

God Bless,

“Why I Got the Boat”

“Deana,

Please thank everyone, especially Lou for the help in getting my Legend 211 ready for me.  It was worth the 1500 mile round trip my wife and I made to pick up the boat two weeks ago.  The pictures attached are the reason why.
I am driving, my son is there, and my Dad.
If you look closely at my Dad he is still in his hospital wear, and has his hospital admission bracelet on.  I got him out of the hospital on a one day leave to take him fishing. This was the reason I went ahead and bought the boat.  On July 16th 2009 the three of us went fishing and Dad caught 50+ fish in a matter of 5 hours, just jigging a feather jig below the boat.  He wanted to go that day because he went in for surgery the next day.  During the surgery he was permanently paralyzed from the chest down, he has been fighting that battle ever since.  He has been in the hospital this time for 4 months now, and has another surgery coming up next week.  He only agreed to the surgery if we could get him out fishing again for one day before that.  Although we had very windy weather conditions he had a blast.  Thank you for helping me make his wishes come true, and he got a new hat out of the deal.”

Alpha 211 – as the name implies…… leader of the pack!

“Let me just start by saying that this boat is AWESOME! The ride and handling of the 211 are absolutely amazing. Fishing tournaments on my home lakes, Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend require a rock solid boat, since both of these lakes have a habit of getting nasty on tournament days. The 211 will not disappoint you when the waves get big and you are depending on a smooth dry ride back to the ramp. Randy, Dean, and all the folks at Legend Boats take great pride in building custom bass boats with the Legend name…. and it shows! Their customer service is second to none. Sure, everyone talks about customer service, but the folks at Legend will exceed anyone’s expectations. If you are looking for a new boat, do yourself a favor and check out a Legend….you will not be disappointed!”

Aaron Martin, Bass Edge TV Host

“I spend a lot of time in my Legend traveling from coast to coast filming Bass Edge Television and attending promotional events. From the anglers I film with to fans at NASCAR® races, all agree Legend Boats is unlike any other boat on the market. I am proud to have Legend Boats as part of the Bass Edge Family.”

Thanks Legend Boats…

“I just want to say THANKS to all the guys at the factory. What a class act!!

I had the privilege of picking my boat up Friday. Here’s a small testament to these people!!

I arrived a day early on Thursday and late at that; around 3:45pm. I was met at the door by their lovely office personnel who graciously welcomed me. Knowing I was anxious to see my new “wife”, Deana didn’t hesitate to take me to her. Boy was she beautiful!! The next thing I knew, there were three or four people around me oooing and awwwing with me! They all introduced themselves to me and made me feel like one of the family. Knowing it was getting close to beer-thirty for these guys, I let them know I would return in the morning for a quick tour of the place. This is when I was introduced to Darrel (I hope I spelled it right). He insisted I see the place that night. So away we went, about 45 minutes worth of Legend Boat-Building 101. I insisted I leave and let them finish their day out in peace.”
